What a pleasure it was photographing personal coach River Easter at the stunning Solage Resort and Spa. It was a photographers paradise with beauty every which turn.
Traveling to San Francisco and looking for the fun sites to see and yummy places to eat? Ayla Corrigan of The Presserie and I hit the city enjoying all the beauty and along the way. We started our adventure in Sea Side where we put our walking shoes on and hit the roads venturing around the neighborhood checking out the city scapes and architecture.
After our stroll, we got in our car and headed to the Marina District where we grabbed brunch at Le Marais Bakery where we had London fogs and a pastry.
From there we headed to Golden Gate Park where we went to the De Young Museum. We walked through the cafe to the Turrel also called “Skyspace” or the Three Gems. Quotes from the De Young Museum, ‘t is a subterranean work of art that features a view of the sky altered by LED lighting effects, which highlight changing light and weather conditions outside.” It was like nothing Ayla and I had ever seen and we were both very impressed.
I love photographing families in nature. This family session was no exception. Can you believe these beautiful redwoods are right off of highway 80 in Davis, California? The arboretum has been around for over 80 years and spans thousands of acres providing resources for students. Side note, I was privileged to photograph an intimate elopement where we walked from the redwood garden to the gazebo. I truly was the sweetest event to photograph.
UC Davis Arboretum has such a variety of plant life along the trail ranging from the beautiful redwoods, shown in this family session, East Asian Collection, Native American, California Rock Collection (Geology), Mexican Southwest Asia and more! It’s a very impressive and understated place!
In terms of family sessions, it provides a wide backdrop settings! Are you looking to book a family session? If so, Click here!
There is nothing more satisfying than capturing the beauty of food in the kitchen. Catching the process step by step creating images that make you hungry! Loved these images styled by San Francisco based Matisse Geenty.
Always love photographing families in their special place- be it in their home, walking downtown or on a mountaintop.
Always a pleasure shooting for organic skincare line Dahliana “All Dahliana products are vegan, cold-pressed, non-GMO, gluten free, paraben- and sulfate-free. We never test on animals. Our formulas are unique; most all of our ingredients are gathered in the US + California and organically grown to maintain the highest standards.”
I had the pleasure of stepping into the world of pasta making to capture behind the scene processes beginning from the first steps of pasta making to the last bite from the customer and everything in between. Gusto Pizzaria & Pasta is located in Seaside just outside of Carmel and in an easily accessible location on Fremont Blvd. The Presserie handcrafted beautiful letter pressed menus that decorated the tables.
This project started at Bigoli Fresh Pasta where pasta was being made fresh right before our eyes. It was such a great expense watching the process of how the pasta was made.
This time of year allows for testing new equipment and getting creative. It was a rainy day which kept us under the protection of the upper deck to prevent us from getting rained on. There was soft defused light that came through the clouds. I provided hair and makeup to Chloe which accented her naturally curly hair and beautiful skin.
I love nothing more then capturing authentic moments between family members. Love that is shared between siblings, or the quiet moment between mother and child or the playfulness of fathers and their children. Loved creating these images in the comfort of their home nestled in Nevada City, California.
Fall family sessions are so much fun. Love watching sweet families such as this one grow year by year. Repeat clients are something truly special and I feel so grateful to be apart of their lives in this way. These were shot walking the streets of downtown Nevada city on a beautiful fall evening.
What an incredible evening spent with the sweetest family of five. Love creating images in beautiful places that my clients get to cherish for the rest of their lives! Being based in the Sierra Nevada Mountains I have a plethora of local places that are gorgeous to shoot at. This place holds a very special place in my heart.
Here a few from Robin Steffensen October blogger session. Love creating content for her! We always have such a great time! We shot in downtown historic Grass Valley which provides so many great backdrops for her fun outfits. She added on hair and makeup to her monthly session which allow me to create not only beautiful images but gorgeous textured hair and soft natural makeup.
I love love so much. And these two are no exception to that. I have had the honor of photographing them before. It’s such a privilege to be apart of someones life in such an intimate way throughout the years. What a sweet session this was taken up in Truckee, California overlooking Donner Lake.
There is no better place to capture the love of your family in an intimate place such as the river. Being in nature is so inspiring and provides the best pace for sweet families to feel them selves and be photographed. Loved this evening spent with these beautiful kind people!
There is nothing I love more then being able to create valuable content for business owners to use to boost their engagement on social media. Web presence is such an important part to owning a business these days. Images will tell your story and draw people in! Here are a few that we created for Dahliana’s October social media session.
I love this sweet family! They have been long time clients of mine that I have been privileged to watch their family grow! Really enjoyed capturing them together down at Bridgeport of South Yuba River State Park. And I was over joyed when Becca suggested she get into the water at the end! Best evening ever!
Food imagery should be buttery and inviting. Love images that show motion where you can envision yourself eating at the very table seen and even almost taste the flavors.
Creative director Ayla Corrigan chose tones that gave warmth.
Fall is coming and I couldn’t be more pleased. There is a crisp in the air these days which has a distinct difference to the hot dry air of the summer. Crispy leaves dried from the summer heat. Photographing Ella in Nevada City was so much fun. Walking the historic streets on downtown always finding new nooks and hidden places to shoot.
Lovely day shooting the sweetest mama and her eight month old baby girl. We spend the afternoon walking around the Marina District finding sweet spaces to capture their special love.
Loved capturing Robin Steffensen running through San Francisco. Fashion blogger Robin, writes of special getaways and cute outfits along with motherhood. When she contacted me to create looks for her blog I was so excited! She put together several outfits for each location and we drove all over the beautiful city. We started in the Sunset district and hiked up to a lookout point. We then headed to the Financial district and ended in the mission. It was so much fun capturing her personality all throughout the city!
